The client asked our company to carry out the tender design of a 3-basement level underground parking garage with diaphragm wall excavation support. The garage needed for the office planned in the area bounded by Váci út – Róbert Károly körút – Esztergomi út – Árbóc utca. Our task was to evaluate the technical solution and the adequacy of the tender submitted by HBM Kft., the bidder with the most favourable offer price, and to formulate possible risks related to the planned underground construction works. The calculations of HBM Ltd. were verified by our independent Plaxis 2D modelling, taking into account several sections and soil conditions.

Subsequently, in 2018, HBM Ltd. commissioned our Company to complete the previous geotechnical explorations. The aim of the new investigations was to evaluate and clarify the mechanical parameters of the Oligocene bedrock.

Within the framework of the latter assignment, we also prepared a report, using 2D FEM modelling to investigate the effects of settlement difference of the 5 and 16-storey buildings next to each other.
