BUDAPEST, XIII. VÁCI ROAD 160-168. – CREATIVE CITY PROJECT (2016)

Client: Optimum-Béta Ingatlanbefektetési Ltd.

Architect: Vikár & Lukács Architect Studio

The planning concerns an area of about 6.5 hectare on the west side of Váci út, north of Rákos stream, from the west to Cserhalom street and from the north to Csavargyár street.

The project will include the construction of a four-storey underground car park under the total area. According to preliminary data the excavation depth is around a 15 – 17 m. In addition to the construction of the 60 – 75 m high tower(s), there will also be 30 – 45 m high buildings. For Phase I, which will cover the southern part of the site, 35 – 60 m depth large diameter boreholes, CPT, seismic CPT and geophysical CPT, as well as other geophysical measurements (surface seismic wave measurements, borehole wave velocity measurements, borehole carotage sectioning) have been carried out to investigate the ground conditions.

The geotechnical design report provided the soil parameters required for the design of the proposed underground car park, and determined the constructability of the excavation support structure and the drainage of the working pit.
