The extension of the BUNGE Ltd. vegetable oil plant in Martfű was planned in 2015 as part of the SunPro project. The extension included the construction of a process building and silos. Deep foundation was required due to the weak subsoil and the high loading, settlement-sensitive, high centre of gravity buildings. Out of several technologies, the ScrewSol displacement pile technology was found to be optimal for the given soil environment.
